ABOUT CTABA

CTABA is organized to promote increased educational professional development to behavioral professionals throughout the state. CTABA advocates for the ethical, humane and effective application of behavior analytic principles across a range of behavioral consumers and in a variety of settings. The association’s goals include providing members with the highest quality continuing education, supporting networking opportunities, and promoting policies supporting behavior analysis.

Associate Membership

Must qualify in one of the following categories:

  • Student of Behavior Analysis
  • Registered Behavior Technicians
  • Parents of consumers of behavior analysis services.
  • Direct Care with no formal qualifications (these individuals must be actively supervised by a professional member)
  • Sustaining: Members who are able to provide financial support to CTABA.

Full Membership

Must qualify in one of the following categories:

  • Certified as a BCBA, BCBA-D, or BCaBA
  • Licensed as a Applied Behavior Analyst or Behavior Analyst in any state
  • Full membership of ABAI or APBA
  • Licensed as a Professional in a field in which behavior analysis falls  within the professional’s “Scope of Practice”

Note: Full membership is $25 and renews on July 1st. The rate has been prorated until July 1st, 2024 to be $12.50.

Organizational Membership

Must qualify by meeting the listed requirements:

  • Specific reference to Applied Behavior Analysis in their organization’s statement of purpose.
  • Adherence to evidence based practices
  • Demonstration that licensed and Board Certified Behavior Analysts are members of their clinical staff.
  • Adherence to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board Professional and Ethical Compliance Code.

  • Discounted conference tickets
  • Access to open meetings
  • Reduced membership with ABAI

Organizational Membership – Details and Pricing

The Connecticut Association for Behavior Analysis is a professional organization that seeks to assist in the development and advancement of the field of behavior analysis within the state of Connecticut through research, education, and dissemination of information. 

As a professional organization, CTABA is dedicated to promoting the theoretical, experimental, and applied analysis of behavior across a wide array of applications and audiences.

Organizational Membership requires a commitment to the standards outlined above and to behavior analytic principles as demonstrated by:

  • Specific reference to Applied Behavior Analysis in their organization’s statement of purpose.
  • Adherence to evidence based practices
  • Demonstration that licensed and Board Certified Behavior Analysts are members of their clinical staff.
  • Adherence to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board Professional and Ethical Compliance Code.

Organizational Membership candidates are subject to review upon receipt of application, will be required to attest to the above standards upon applying, and must continue to meet all requirements to remain in good standing.
